Saints’ Way 2018-and 2017

We had glorious weather for our first walk. We started at Fowey and walked to Lostwithiel taking in the historical sites on the way. A huge thanks to the parents who came along.  We will be putting the stories into a new website but for now here are the photos.

We started at the Ship Inn Pub…looking at the stained glass windows of Fowey Sea Dogs who took on the Spanish Armada in 1588. We then looked round Fowey Church. The pulpit came from a wrecked Spanish galleon.

Lunch at Golant

We stopped at St Sampson’s church and looked for evidence of dragons to back up the legend.

We found evidence on the church doors of another famous legend-Tristan and Iseult.

We found put some holy water from St Sampson’s well onto Alfie’s  wounded ankle in full confidence that the water would heal the wound.

Dogs welcome
